Learning At Home
At Ingoldsby, we love to read. We aim for children to read at home 5 times a week.
From Summer Term all children and staff will be logging their reading using their school’s online reading log. The reading logs will be our new way of logging reading. Using an online diary will ensure that diaries are not lost, damaged or forgotten for school. Entries can be logged by children, parents/carers and staff in school at any time. No more lost reading diaries; just click the link or scan the QR code to input your daily reading.
Our reading Challenge:
Reading a wide range of quality texts is important in developing language and vocabulary. We have made lists of quality texts to get pupils started.

Maths
We have identified areas of fluency for children to practice for just 5 minutes a day, 5 times a week, for 5 weeks. This is our Fluency 5!
We are aiming to not only build speed and automaticity in maths, but to build confidence and a sense of achievement & accomplishment.
Perseverance, putting in the effort and aiming high are are rewarded with house points, class treats and golden tickets which are a chance to win a prize in the 'Big Summer Raffle'.
