Ingoldsby Academy

Founded in 1877, Ingoldsby is a mixed Primary School, for children from 4 to 11 years old with a nursery facility on site at the school, taking children from their third birthday.

Admissions

At Ingoldsby Academy we have followed the guidance from the Admissions policy provided by the Local Authority which is outlined in our policy.

If you have a child starting school in the September or you are moving school mid year, please call us to make a time that is convenient to yourself and we will be happy to show you around our Academy.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Admissions to Reception Class

If your child attends the nursery class you will still need to apply for a Reception place for the following September.

How to apply

School Admissions prefer parents to use the online application system at:

www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/schools-and-education/school-admissions

You can also make a phone application on 01522 782030.

Further information about applying for primary school places can be found in the ‘Going to Primary School in Lincolnshire’ file below.

Mid-Year Admissions

If you are looking to start your child at our school after the normal 4 year old start date, Mid-Year Admission forms should be used to apply for a place (see file below).

Parents and children are welcome to visit us for a tour of the school and may contact us on 01476 585278 to arrange a date and time.

Further details about mid- year admissions are available at

How to Appeal

You will need to lodge your appeal directly with the school by completing and returning directly to the school the appeal form which can be found below.

You must clearly state your reasons for your appeal on the form and provide any supporting evidence.

You must put your child's name on anything you send us so we know who it is for. You can submit more information later on if you need to.

You need to send any supporting evidence you wish to be considered in advance of the appeal hearing. We may blank out other people's faces or personal details on documents you send to us.

Timetable for offer dates and appeals

The school works to the Local Authority timescales as follows:

Primary schools:

  • national offer day - 16 April 2025
  • deadline - 14 May 2024

Appeals will be heard after the appeal deadlines.

Where an infant class (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) has 30 children already, panels are limited on what they can consider at an appeal.
