Communication between parents and school is integral to any child's learning. We view education as a partnership between parents, pupils and the school.
There are several ways in which we seek to maintain contact between school and home. Please don't hesitate to contact us should you not find the information you are looking for.
- A written report is provided towards the end of each Summer Term.
- In addition, we hold consultation evenings during each term.
- A regular newsletter is sent out, updating school events and sharing work.
- The school’s website is also a valuable source of information for parents and children alike.
- We also ask for parent's / carer's e-mail addresses, so that communications can be sent electronically, in order to minimise paperwork being sent home.

ADMISSIONS POLICY CONSULTATION
INGOLDSBY ACADEMY – ADMISSIONS POLICY FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2021 – 2022 :
Ingoldsby Academy is consulting on the Academy’s admission arrangements. These arrangements are for students who will be starting in September 2021.
The consultation is taking place for a period of six weeks, between Monday 9 December 2019 – Monday 20 January 2020.
Consultation will also be undertaken via Lincolnshire County Council’s (LCC) co-ordinated consultation process and will be on the LCC School Admissions Consultation website www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/admissionsconsultationfrom the start of the consultation period.
Why are we consulting?
The Trust must set (‘determine’) admission arrangements annually. Where changes are proposed to admission arrangements, the Trust must first publicly consult on those arrangements. If no changes are made to admission arrangements, they must be consulted on at least once every 7 years.
Ingoldsby Academy is not proposing any changes to its admissions arrangements for 2021 however is consulting in accordance with the requirement to consult on a 7 year cycle.
You are invited to review the admission arrangements and to ask yourself the following questions:
are the arrangements reasonable?
are the arrangements clear?
are the arrangements objective?
do the arrangements comply with the school admissions code 2014 and the school admissions appeals code 2012, and the laws and regulations behind them?
will the arrangements cause disadvantage or discrimination?
could changes be made that would improve the arrangements?
Responses to this consultation should be sent to either DRETadmissions@dret.co.uk or submitted via the Lincolnshire County Council School Admissions Consultation website www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/admissionsconsultation. The closing data for responses is Monday 20 January 2020.
On conclusion of the consultation all responses received will be collated and presented to the Trust Board in February 2020 for full consideration. The outcome of the Consultation will be posted on the Academy’s website along with the final admissions policy for 2021.
We are very fortunate at Ingoldsby to have a thriving PTFA that has been an integral part of the school community for many years.
Its stated aims are:
- To support the education of the children via fundraising and other activities
- To foster more extended relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school.
Over the years we have raised a significant amount of funds which has been put towards a variety of vital purchases such as new books, trim trail, extra-curricular activities and swimming lessons.
